1. Who we are

Site Diagnostics (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a service operated by Spring Software Ltd, a company registered in Gibraltar and operating in the United Kingdom via springsoftware.io. We are the data controller for personal data processed through this website.

If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

When you use Site Diagnostics we may process:

  • URLs you submit for scanning and the technical data our scanner fetches about those URLs (HTML, headers, performance metrics).
  • Your email address, if you provide one to receive a report.
  • Payment details if you purchase a full report — card data is collected directly by Stripe and never touches our servers. We only receive a transaction ID and receipt metadata.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, referring page, and interaction events — only after you consent to analytics or marketing cookies.

3. How we use your information

  • To generate and deliver the scan reports you request (contractual necessity).
  • To process payments and send receipts via Stripe (contractual necessity).
  • To operate, secure, and debug the service (legitimate interests).
  • To measure traffic and improve the site (consent, via analytics cookies).
  • To measure advertising effectiveness and reach similar audiences (consent, via marketing cookies).

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies. No analytics or marketing cookies are set until you explicitly consent via the banner on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of the site.

Analytics cookies are loaded through Google Tag Manager. If you reject analytics or marketing cookies, GTM, GA4, Google Ads and Meta Pixel are not loaded at all.

5. Sharing and processors

We use the following processors to run the service:

  • Stripe — payment processing (Ireland / USA).
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (USA / EU).
  • Google Cloud — hosting and infrastructure (EU / USA).
  • Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta — analytics and advertising (only with your consent).

Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

6. Data retention

We retain scan results and associated email addresses for up to 24 months to support customer queries and refunds. Payment records are retained by Stripe and in our accounting system for the period required by applicable tax law. Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to processing, and port your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page and the “Last updated” date above will be revised.
